May 2011 Collective Haul

Finally my purchases of May.

I'm warning everyone beforehand that I did a lot of damage last month. A lot of it was because my friend offered to order from Sasa (but because most of the items I wanted went OOS) I went a little crazy on Imomoko and Adambeauty trying to satisfy my lemmings. The stuff I bought will probably last me a while..so I hope I won't have the urge to buy more in the next couple of months. The rest of the items were bought in preparation for prom. (I only have a couple of other things in mind but those are drugstore items. After that, I definitely need to stop and save for college!) All these purchases already made up for the month of April where I purchased close to nothing xD

On with the haulage!!
Picture & text heavy!!!~

Origins Haul
L to R: GinZing, Modern Friction Face Scrub, VitaZing SPF15 Energy Boosting Moisturizer

I'm a little upset that Origins is promoting a set that has all three of the products that I wanted to try a month after I made my purchase :(

Origins GinZing

Origins Modern Friction Face Scrub & Origins VitaZing SPF15 Energy Boosting Moisturizer

1st Imomoko Haul!!

Items came very fast. But they sent me the wrong foot pack yet charged me for the other one (which was $2 more than the one they sent). Mistakes happen & they were nice about it and allowed me to return it for an exchange. Shipping was also very quick. Which is strange because my friends who ordered had mixed shipping lengths from them. =T

Kao Essential Damage Care Nuance Airy Treatment

I really wanted to try the hair mask that so many people were raving about. But Sasa has been OOS of that particular item, especially after Bubz recommended it. So I thought this might be similar. I've tried it once during my busy month last month. It made my hair feel very soft but I don't know if I'm just not used to using these types of products or such but I felt my hair turning oily slightly faster. But then again..it could have been that I was touching my hair a lot more because it felt that soft =P Will try it again and try not to touch my hair and share my findings again!

Hada Labo Gokujun Cleansing Oil

I thought I should find a cleansing oil before my Origins one runs out (even though I still have more than enough to last me maybe this entire month). I cannot wait to try this and see if it's moisturizing or not. I do not know if it claims to or not because I do not read/understand Japanese but coming from Hada Labo I think it should/might be moisturizing..right?

Hada Labo Shirojun Arbutin Whitening Set (Lotion & Milky Lotion)

I was running out of my H2O+ moisturizer and slowly using up my Hada Labo SHA Lotion AND saw this awesome set on Imomoko so I wanted to give it a try. I haven't started it yet but hope to soon! Hopefully, it'll help brighten my skin and maybe lighten my neck *cross fingers*!

1st Adambeauty Haul!!
L to R: Mentholatum Skin Aqua UV bihaku Milk WHITE, Hadalabo BB Moist Emulsion SPF 50+ PA+++ - Natural Ochre, Hadalabo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Acid Face Wash

Baby Foot East Pack (Size M)

This was the foot pack that I originally ordered. I really wanted to try it after seeing it on LotusPalace's blog. It sounded really interesting and I wanted to pamper/splurge on myself for prom and graduation. (I don't take care of my feet! So I must do so now, especially for the summer haha)

Benefit Feelin' Cheeky Set

Been meaning to get this since April. I planned to get this when Sephora had the 15% off but when I went to the Sephora I went to I didn't see any of the other items that I also wanted so I put it off and lost the chance to save some $$. =( I've only tried the Benetint so far and I really love it. It isn't as bold as my TonyMoly tints and isn't as quick drying. It's also very sheer unlike the TonyMoly tints so it's much easier to build up to desired intensity (maybe I haven't tried) whereas the TonyMoly ones come out very opaque the first layer you apply. Especially since TonyMoly's is a doe foot applicator and Benetint is a brush. Really like! I might even buy a full sized when..if I ever run out =D

Nanoce BB Set

Bought from the beauty store I previously ranted about. This time she was busy on the phone the majority of the time and didn't stare me down or even bothered to talk to me and best friend until we asked her for price and such. Maybe she sensed we were buying? Haha. Actually, I wasn't even intending to purchase this because I thought she only had the BB Cream alone. But I saw the set and it was only a few extra dollars (from her BB Cream price) and I was swayed. Bestfriend can attest to my vulnerability LOL She witnessed it firsthand.

Nanoce BB Moist Cream No.2 Healthy Ochre

I really wanted to try this after how many bloggers said this was a better match for slightly darker than the usual Korean BB Creams AND after seeing how beautifully Nic Nic looked in her face shots when she wore her's. I've been wearing this for the past week and I really like it! Hasn't broken me out. I don't think it clogged my pores. It didn't make me look uber pale or white-faced. Although..sometimes when it's especially hot and my makeup wears off a little faster than usual my normal face color starts to show up and makes it look slightly off but no biggie. I even got a compliment one day from a male friend that usually doesn't compliment me LOL It was surprising and might not have had anything to do with wearing this but I want to give it some credit. I do not know if it was a joke but it felt nice Haha

Nanoce BB Mineral Powder

I haven't tried this. But the powder jar is much smaller than what I expected. And much pinker than I expected as well. I hope it isn't light for me. Will try soon but want to use up some of my current powders before I open this one.

Koji Eyelash Curler No.73

I bought this mainly for prom. I decided to purchase this after scouring the beauty shops of Chinatown. The particular store that I went in had the wider curve and standard curve. The shop owner (I think or SA) allowed me to take out the curlers to try in-store which I thought was nice of her...was not expecting it! I was surprised that my eyes fell under the wide eyes range! I've used this a few times and it doesn't pinch my eyelids like the Kirkland one did (that came with the brush set I purchased a year or two ago). However, I think it is a little too curved for me because the curler never gets the inner corner lashes. I may try the new Shiseido ones which have a bit flatter/straighter curve. I don't know though. I'm not in need of it. One is enough LOL

Sephora Haul :D

I purchased these while waiting for my mom to get off work one Saturday. We were taking a trip to Queens to search for some things for our new house (YAY!). I was only thinking of purchasing the primer and the Jack Black lip balm duo but saw the Benefit set and changed my mind. Hehe It's very rare for me to see Online Only items in stores and I wanted to try these products! (Excuses I know...don't judge! lol)

Mini Benefit Erase Paste No.2

It looks very pink/salmon-y. Definitely doesn't look like it would fit my skin tone but you never know. I haven't tried it out yet since I have so many under-eye concealers that I wanted/need to use. Maybe I'll give it a try next week.

Mini Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in R.S.V.P.

Been wanting to try this. I'm a little disappointed though because it isn't as pigmented as I thought it would be but it's still a nice wash of color and shimmer for a person who prefers less eye makeup.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

After some suggestions and based on my budget and resources...I decided to get this primer. The only reason why I didn't get the ELF primer even though it is 1/6 of the price of UDPP was that I'm pretty sure the Target I go to does not have it and I didn't want to go through the trouble of purchasing a $3 item and paying for the shipping. Also, I thought if UDPP didn't work I'd return it to try the NARS primer instead since Sephora has a great return policy. I've tried it a few times. Once with just the Milani liner and I'm sad to say it didn't help with that. I'm going to try this again soon with just shadow to see if it helps that though *cross fingers*!

  1. Yay for hauls!! I want to try the Nanoce BB emulsion now! Nic nic just posted a swatch of this on her blog and it made me curious! XD

  2. LittoMokaa: You switched the names around :P I've tried both and I think I like these more than the korean ones I've tried (although I haven't worn those nearly as much because of the shade problem). There's so little info about it because it's quite new. The only places I've seen that sold it was imomoko and adambeauty (not sure about nic nic's store though if it's running again).

  3. Oooh loads of goodies!
I love love love Hada Labo products, I hope you like the face wash as much as I do! Tell me how the Hada Labo BB cream is too cause I really want to try it too :D
I think after a year and a half, Sephora is finally putting the Benefit Stay Put set on store shelves cause I even see it here in Canada too. Before it was only certain US stores :P

  4. Another person named Mandy!!!

You have a nice amount of products here, some I recognize, some I don't. I hope you like the Origins GinZing eye cream. About 75% of my skincare routine is all Origins, and I love the brand. The eye cream is one of my favorite products of theirs!

  5. nice haul!! omg!!!! i have been looking for that hado labo soap everywhere!!! the AHA BHA one! i even went to mitsuwa today to find it but no where. I have seen Hado labo items popping up here but that particular cleanser is nada so plz review if u can to see if i should order online

Bummer about the origins set!! I just bought it this week. I have already gone through a tub or modern friction and loved it. Vita zing im giving a second chance, and i have tried gin zing this week ( so far eh)

Nanoce BB cream is my favorite BB cream!! It's the only one I buy now! hope u like it

    Great haul again!!

  6. Ashley: I hope it works well for me too. I can't wait to use it after I finally finish my Laneige cleanser. I was really hoping to buy the AHA BHA one but the stores that did carry it don't anymore and online is always OOS! I'm going to try to use the Hada Labo BB Cream this month more often. I should probably post about that soon..especially since there are so little posts about it =P

Mandy: Yay!! I don't know many Mandy's (only 3..now 4 =D) I only have 3 or 4 items from Origins. I'm planning to try their toners after I finish my current one. I was a little taken back by the slight shimmer it had for its brightening properties. But I'm liking it so far! ^__^

Lilladylife: I couldn't find this particular cleanser anywhere in stores, only the the one with the green stripe (which I think it supposedly a lighter version? I'm not too sure on that though) I can never find the AHA BHA one either! That one is extremely hard to find. The couple of stores that I found selling them in Chinatown a few months back don't even have them now..disappointing =[ I'm definitely going to try this out soon but waiting until I finish the last of my Laneige cleanser. I just saw the origins set on Friday. I loved the cute mini sizes of the modern friction and vitazing =P I think I might get the new travel-sized modern friction in the future though (if I end up liking the sample). Really? I don't think ginzing is too bad. It makes my undereye concealer go on much easier and I see some brightening. And I really like the nanoce bb cream! Definitely not regretting the impulse purchase I made :P It feels so light and my pores look almost non-existent. I hope I don't neglect my other ones too much. Haha

  7. The lady was only nice because I warmed her up for you after buying an item from her LOL Yay for UDPP!!!!

  8. Aw I'm sorry about the Origins promotion thing :( hate it when that happens!!!!!

Hehe I tried all the Origins products you got as well XD I was so disappoited at the VitaZing moisturizer cuz I thought it looks AMAZING on TiffanyD!!!!! Sadly it doesn't look that great on me... plus it flakes :T How does it work on you??

Hehe maybe not apply the hair mask on roots/top of your head? Just at the ends? That might make it less oily?
Let us know about the feet thing if you have a chance :D I need to take better care of my legs and feet as well XD Glad to hear that you like the Benefit tint! I always wondered how these work. It's awesome that it doesn't dry fast (particularly after seeing Michelle Phan wearing cheek tint in one of her videos... don't know if you noticed but the cheek tint dried up fast on her and it looked uneven O_O)

Ah, finally another person who doesn't like UDPP!!!!!!! Actually I think it made my eye shadows slip off more easily =_= so weird cuz almost everybody else raves about it. oh well! Never tried the NARS one but let us know how it works if you end up trying that =D (when you have time, of course XD)

Which pair of shoes did you end up getting? :)

  9. Christie: LOL But that particular trip was much more pleasant of the 3 or 4 times I've been there xD

Frances: I haven't tried the VitaZing sample yet. Been so into my Nanoce bb cream =P I hope it isn't too bad though! Hmm..I might have put the products on my roots. Will know better next time =D I haven't watched a lot of michelle phan videos recently. But tinting the cheeks always seemed amazing how it doesn't dry quickly on their cheeks. I must experiment with that soon (I've only been applying it to the cheeks). I don't totally dislike UDPP. I haven't tried it with only shadow yet. It might have actually been the liner that smudge. Not sure! I hope it does work because everyone loves it =\

  10. LOVE your haul! so many goodies, I have yet to place my first haul from these websites <3
the vitazing moisturizer has color, did you know that?! i didn't until i actually got it; its pretty dark!! i mixed it with my moisturizer to lighten up the color, but its a great moisturizer overall!
hope you enjoy everything, and i can't wait for the reviews !

    ReplyDelete
  11. Light Love: Thanks! My birthday money and new year's money doesn't love my hauls haha. I didn't think I'd be able to purchase from imomoko and adambeauty until I got a card but my friend is awesome =P I did know the vitazing had color. A lot of bloggers and youtubers mentioned it & I swatched it in the store. I haven't actually gotten the chance to use it yet on a normal day though. Can't wait! I hope I can actually get reviews up more consistently over the summer *cross fingers*

  12. I love your haul! Let me know about the HadaLabo arbutin set because i'm super interested. I used HadaLabo once and I liked it but their essence was so sticky :(. I also have Essential's Nuance Airy treatment but I don't know if it's meant to make your hair oilier. My hair has always been an oil slick by day two so I can't tell XD.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Nice haul!! Aw, I hope the UDPP works out for you. I personally love it. :) How is the Origins eye cream?

    ReplyDelete
  14. onedessertplease: I will definitely try to post my results from the arbutin set. But it may take a couple of months because I haven't used up my current skincare yet. My hair is pretty oily by day two too! I'm still trying to find an affordable dry shampoo that'll work for me.

Shop N' Chomp: I really like the origins eye cream. But it's the only eye cream I've really tried that is suppose to do something other than hydrate/moisturize so I can't really compare it to anything else lol I need to observe the results more now that I have time to =P Don't want to be rash on posting anything that isn't correct.

  15. Wooo the Origins Eye Cream looks good~ I was gonna try the Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream as my next one but im still debating. Both the Benefit Mini Kits are so frinkin' adorable~ Love themmm.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Popcorn: If you do get it share how it goes! I heard it was very moisturizing? I love the mini sets :D Too bad they don't sell other products mini sized lol But it's really a great way to try out some of their more popular items.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ooo I love your haul!! That Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion looks so cute! Does eyeshadow primer really help?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Chococcuro: It is really cute. I like how they kept the cap design. Simple but still has the urban decay-ness to it :D I haven't tried the eyeshadow primer with shadow yet but it unfortunately didn't really help with my pencil liner =\

  19. Wow, this is a lot!! :) Everything in here is pretty much things I would like to have! ^_^ I can't wait til you review stuff!! I wonder how the Koji eyelash curler compares to Shu or Shiseido :p

    ReplyDelete
  20. Rainy Days and Lattes: I know. I definitely need to constrain myself this summer! =X I hope I can get more reviews up soon. I have no excuses anymore LOL I don't have the Shu or Shiseido one so I cannot compare. But I remember seeing the new black Shiseido curler at Sephora and the curve was much straighter than the specific Koji one that I had. I would love to try those out though but they're way more expensive..Maybe in the future if I get a job =P

    ReplyDelete
  21. Haha...your mom got lucky then! ;) Btw, thanks for answering my question above.

    ReplyDelete
  22. hey! you changed your profile pic =DDDDDDD

and I thought I saw a new "baby feet" post from you on my dashboard, and now it's gone! =T

so did you ended up changing your eyeliner and keeping ur UDPP? =)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Frances: I was getting bored of the overly photoshopped photo that I did when I was bored xD

There was a baby feet photo but it wasn't meant to go up, I accidently pressed Publish Post when I wanted to press the Save draft button. Don't worry! When there are results I'm definitely going to post about it

I don't think I'm going to keep UDPP :( I tried to line my eyes with eye shadow yesterday (wearing the UDPP) and it ended up smudging as well..I'm going to see if I can exchange it for something else (hopefully it isn't too late).
