Empties of February 2011

I've always loved and envied other bloggers' posts of the products they finish each month. I did initially want to update everyone on what I finish as well but I realized how pathetic my list would be (usually only 1 product a month..sometimes not even). I guess it's a good and bad thing. I get to use my products for a long time but I don't get to try as many new products as often as I'd like to. Hmm, we'll see. At least it's another reason for me to update my blog more! :P

----------

The only finished product I have for February. The lonely soul, St. Ives Green Tea Cleanser. I did a review of it here. I'm glad I finished it but probably won't be repurchasing since there are SOO many other cleansers out there that I have yet to try. I'm sure (I hope) I'll find one better.

However, I think next month will be a bit more exciting since I'm close to finishing a couple of products already and it is only the beginning of March!

How often do you completely finish products? Do they tend to be more makeup or skincare products?

  3. Hi Mandy!
Glad to see you do this too! hahaha lonely? it's ok! Actually I used to NEVER finish anything, it was only until I started doing those posts did I begin to use things up more bc I did not want a month to go by where i had nada, and since i am constantly buying more stuff ( i know i know...) i was running out of shelf space! haha nice again to see this post!

  4. Aw even if it's just a product it's still interesting! :D You'll see, has it goes, you'll be able to finish some up more & more :) Most of my monthly empties are skincare. It's so hard for me to even hit pan on makeup! The only makeup products that I'm able to finish are liners LOL =P

  5. oops fgt wrote this on my blog but for dry skin body creams I like are Pacifica ( Blood Orange is my Fave) and Korres. They are thicker and longer to absorb but perfect for dry skin. Hope it helps!!

  6. Lilladylife: I have a feel I might do that too! :P Thanks for the suggestions! I might go check out Pacifica the next time I'm at sephora. I've tested the Korres ones before and wasn't really into the scents..

LittoMokaa: That's what I think too. I haven't finished a makeup product in a loonngg time! And that was just a powder. I can't even imagine how long blushes and such would take :O

  7. yay i hardly finish things too <3 except small samples or deluxe sample jars, lol! it's good to see you blogging more :D would you prefer foam cleansers like the japanese ones?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Jennifer: I had some time over the weekend to fix the photos :P I hope I can keep posting regularly from now on! Foam cleansers like where you squirt out the bottle and it is a foam? I haven't tried that type yet but they look fun haha

  10. hahaha i've used this product a couple months before. for me, it was ok.... hahaha nothing too special~

i know right? i always get jealous when people finish their makeup products. hahaha because if i finish mine, it just means that I actually have a legit excuse to buy more :P

i always finish my skincare products. i have NEVER finished a makeup product yet.... hahaha

  11. Popcorn: yeah I thought the same. I'm so jealous others found it worked great for them and so inexpensive..the search continues lol

It takes me forever to even finish skincare! I have a long time to go with all my makeup products too.

  12. Congrats on finishing this big bottle! It's always hard to stick on just one cleanser as we always want to find something that's better :D

  13. I'm pretty lousy when it comes to finishing products too. And if I do, it's usually skincare stuff. It takes forever to hit pan on my makeup items!

  14. DinaXYYAN: LOL I know! Right now I have 3 fullsized cleansers (2 are getting along but still plenty left, while another is brand new). I need to stop buying cleansers for a while. :P

Shop N' Chomp: I've come to realize that it's much easier said than done. Makeup products seem like never ending pit of goodness lol The makeup I have will probably last me for years/lifetime yet there is always more that catches my attention =X

  15. Ryc: foam cleansers can be those u pump out from the bottle as foam

they can also be a cream wash and add water and easily turning it to foam ^_^ what cleanser are you using to replace the used-up St. Ives?

  16. Neither makeup nor skincare finish fast for me b/c I always alternate between products! Which is not a good thing all the time :p

    ReplyDelete
  17. Rainy Days and Lattes: I tend to do that too! But lately I've been trying to stick to what I have. It's much harder than I thought it would be =X

  18. haha I was so surprised to see that you're already done with this bottle, cuz it doesn't seem like too long ago when you did a review? XD yay I like reading hitting-pan/used up posts too XD I've used up many skincare products but I've only hit pan on one makeup item... 囧

    ReplyDelete
  19. Frances: When I did the review it was already close to being finished! I have a habit or waiting until I'm almost done with products before I review them =X LOL Me too! Makeup products are so difficult to finish :(

  20. I look forward to the day when both of us hit pan on more items :D!!

  21. Hello Many ^__^

haha that's good! then your review would be most honest ^_~ thanks for the congrats! haha I'm a little nervous about living at the East Coast O_O maybe you could give me some survival tips XD haha I think I'm a lot thick-faced now... I used to be reluctant to ask for samples too but now I'm like screw it... it's my money and I'm gonna spend it well XD I used to waste so much just buying products to try out it's not worth it (I just ended up not using at all if I didn't like it) but you shouldn't worry about them judging you cuz they don't know you anyway :D and yes yes that's exactly the plan XD ohh I cannot wait to get my hands on that compact! XD

  22. err... I swear I typed Mandy... my computer is stupid T_T soweeeeeeeeeeee ><

    ReplyDelete
  23. Frances: lol it's alright. survival tips? xD idk how helpful my tips will be. but if you have questions i'll try to help? :P ah maybe I'll try to be less shy and ask for samples the next time i go to the department store!

  24. Hello Mandy~~~~ (hahah this time I made sure it's spelled right XD)

Thank you ^__^ I am feeling much better now! Can't wait until I'm completely back to normal XD Yes I did get the samples at the counters! I got two shades just because I like to color match myself (usually I like to go a shade up or down the color the SA match me). I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy it yet cuz I'm still testing out other foundations... but I'd say for now it's on top of my list along with MAC studio sculpt, but I prefer Chanel's formula. We'll see :D hehe actually I already have a powder that I use more regularly than Candy Doll XD I will make a post about it later ^_^

  25. Oooh congrats on your empty! I've been quite interested in this cleanser when it came out, but because of my super dry and eczema-prone skin, I prefer to stick to cream or oily cleansers.

    ReplyDelete
  26. G A B Y: I think I might try a cream cleanser or so soon if I can't find a foaming cleanser that doesn't make my skin feel tight and/or dry. Which ones have you tried and liked? Do you think any are good for combination skin? =\

  27. Ooh I love that steamed egg! :D I love mixing it with rice too, it's so easy to make! I think I overcooked it, wasn't really watching ^.^;

  28. Hi Mandy :) was MIA for a while, now getting back at the comments. Hope you've finished something this month, lol! I just finished a deluxe sample size moisturizer :3

  29. Hey :) actually, not really (more opportunities for asian bloggers), companies are not 'that' outreaching enough i'd say. I was invited on a very very random and accidental note lol

  30. ryc: the chacott powder isn't expensive :) like 16 euros or something but comes in 30g jar LOL there used to be a 170g pot too =_= sold under 20 euros. It's cheap isn't it? btw have u got empties this month XD?
