Recent Hauls

I really miss having school days where classes end by 4PM latest. The best thing that comes from having a later school schedule is the fact that I don't have the time to go to the store all the time anymore. BUT when I can go...I seem to do a lot of 'hoarding' all at once.

Some of you may have seen my recent haulings on Instagram. If not, let's just say I have enough shampoo, body wash, and eye makeup remover to last me many months! I didn't take a better photo of my shampoo and body wash buys because I usually just get whatever is on sale. Also, I find it harder to gather my opinions for those two particular type of products. So for now it won't be appearing on the blog, maybe in the future I'll give it a shot. I did however take photos of my other beauty related purchases that I wanted to share with everyone.
Target haul & Sephora buys
Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover; Neutrogena Body Clear Pink Grapefruit Body Wash; Up & Up Eye Makeup Remover; Sephora B.I. Benefit Bday gift; Boots Botanics Soothing Eye Makeup Remover; Bumble and Bumble Prep
After running out of eye makeup remover, I knew I wanted to make a trip to Target to try some different brands. CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid doesn't seem to have a big selection of eye makeup remover to choose from. (Or maybe it's just the ones that I go to.) Anyways...I haven't tried any of these yet but from looking at the ingredients, the lists are surprisingly short. That's always a plus!

I made a stop to Sephora with the intentions of getting a bigger tube of Pacifica's Body Butter, but I didn't know that Sephora stopped carrying them. (Does anyone know where else to buy Pacifica products in-store?) Then I spotted a whole wall section dedicated to Bumble and Bumble at the Soho Sephora and couldn't walk away. I remembered Karyi's review on the Prep spray and decided to get a travel sized bottle for myself. I haven't tried it yet but I can't wait to! Hope it helps my very static-prone hair with all this wind that's been blowing in NYC.
A closer look at the Sephora Benefit Bday gift
My birthday isn't for another two weeks, but the SA let me claim my gift early. (So nice of her!) I was so surprised that Sephora offered me an option between this Benefit set and last year's Fresh set. Although I have come to really like the Fresh lip balms, I have been anticipating getting this to try Benefit Watt's Up. I can't wait to use both! Although, I'll probably reach for the highlighter first because I still haven't gotten use to wearing mascara yet. (Shocker...I know *ashamed* :X)
L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm in Caring Coral
My preferences when it comes to colored lip products are sheer, natural, and yet still moisturizing. This isn't a new product but I only noticed this recently. Plus, I had a coupon at CVS to use toward a L'Oreal product. It's so hard to say no to a coupon! Originally, I was going to buy a light pink shade but decided to go for a coral color to fill in the coral void in my lip products collection. It wasn't until I came home and prepared to take photos for the blog that I realized the seal was broken & saw that someone must have lightly swatched the product. I don't know why I only looked through the cover and didn't check the seal of all things. At first glance it didn't even look like the seal was broken at all...Luckily I have rubbing alcohol around the house. I really don't like to return makeup products. Just seems so wasteful since the store probably ends up throwing away anything that's been open.

Has anyone tried any of these products before? Any good/bad reviews that I should know about before I try these myself?

  1. Nice haul :) I'm actually not a big fan of mascara. Though lately I've been trying to put it into my every day routine!

  3. The only one of these I've tried is the Up&Up Eye Makeup Remover and it's no where near as effective as the Neutrogena one. I got the Benefit birthday set as well but I haven't even opened it yet.

  4. I've been meaning to try the Up&Up remover but I'm already really happy with the Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover so I'm scared to mess with a good thing!

P.S. You can actually buy Pacifica products at Target now!

  5. nice haul, sorry to hear about the lipstick. I always open the lipstick tube if it is not sealed and look inside to make sure no one touched it. I like the sonia kashuk remover. It works.

    1. I wouldn't mind it was not sealed and unswatched but usually can not have one and not the other :T

    1. I'll try my best to soon! But it might take a little while because I chose to use the Boots one first. Sonia Kashuk will be next in line :]

  8. I realllly want to pick up the sephora bday present already and not wait until September. :P

Mainly for the tiny mascara than for the highlighter though. I picked up the benefit 'bad gal' mascara a while ago ... it's not waterproof and it starts to run after a long day. Which makes me want to throw it out. Is this one by benefit waterproof?

    1. I'm not sure if it's waterproof or not & sephora doesn't say it specifically either..
I was most excited about getting the highlighter too :P

  9. Ive used the Sonia Kashuk makeup remover. It works just the same as the Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup Remover actually. I didn't find much of a difference. And I've heard very good things about that "They're Real" mascara. I'm curious! But I think my next mascara will be the infamous Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus since I have yet to find someone who hates it---though people dislike that it's hard to remove. That's the only thing holding me back from purchasing other than the steep price. I'm already content with my cheap Super Lash mascara so I may not budge from that. I don't know...sorry I'm babbling on your blog xD whoops. Anyway, you got quite a good deal on the body wash since it was on clearance! I actually use men's body wash lol! I use Irish Springs Original and it keeps me squeaky clean. K I'm done talking now lol. See you later!

    1. I've never thought to use a men's body wash. I tried the Majolica Majorca mascara a couple of years ago and remember liking it. If you get the chance I think you should definitely try it out at least once! :D

    1. I haven't yet (still..) But I will soon. The mascara I was using recently passed the 4 months mark and should probably be heading towards the trash soon lol
