Collective Haul

I'm such a terrible blogger. I've mentioned this in most of my post :X I should blog more even if it's on little things. I feel so bad that people are following me but I have nothing to offer >__<

Originally I planned to update my hauls monthly but things didn't turn out that way :X This term at school has been really hectic. Just finished 2 AP exams (one physical exam and one portfolio). So I can relax for a little bit! However...in exactly 2 weeks I have to take the ever so stressful SAT II subject test. Not 1, not 2, but 3. Yeah...talk about pressure >__<>

Anyway, enough with my blabbering :] (They're kind of in the order that I bought them from.)

Shu Uemura Powder Sample that I got from a seller on soompi

I bought ZOYA in Miley and the seller included 2 freebies (C.O. Bigelow Rice & Bamber Gentle Dermabrasion and Honeysuckly & White Patchouli)

My first lush product: Porridge

NYX Concealer in a Jar in Beige
Found it at my local beauty supply store. They finally have it. When I first asked the owner if he was going to store this he told me Palladio is much better lol But I guess a lot of people were asking for it too? Excited to use it but it has a perfume-y smell :X

L to R: Natural Bristle Brush, Bastise Dry Shampoo
I've heard that natural bristle brush is good for oily hair (it makes mine really static-y) & I really like the dry shampoo but I found that I use it up pretty quickly >__<

Cure Aqua Gel Sample bought from a soompi seller in HK
I was kind of skeptical because my TFS one doesn't really work but Bubs recommended it...so I got sucked in LOL It actually IMO works better than TFS peeling gel. I'm still debating whether or not to invest in the fullsize.

First Amore store haul (went to the one in Flushing)
Top Row - L to R: Pore Clear Cleansing Foam Sample x2, Pore Trouble Emulsion Sample x3, Water Sleeping Pack Plus, Pore Clear Cleansing Foam full sized, Pore Trouble Skin Refiner full sized, Pore Trouble Emulsion full sized
Bottom Row - L to R: Eye Designer Cream Sample x11, Star White Multi Protector Sample x2
I had my dad drive me all the way to Flushing to buy this LOL (Actually I didn't buy the cleansing foam from there I ordered it from a really nice seller on soompi, the rest were from the actual store) I bought the Refiner and Emulsion and the nice lady bombarded me with samples :] I felt so happy. But of course, the stuff was pretty expensive compared with the skincare that I bought before. However, I don't regret it because it's my skin and it's been terrible so I'm willing to invest in it. If things turn out well I would probably repurchase. Still in the process of determining that :]

Lush Sweet Lips Lip Scrub
Second lush product! I think you really need to use this daily for terrible flakey skin like mine. It taste really nice! lol The other scents turned my off because I personally don't like mint or bubblegum (strange yes I know)

Top Row: 5 TFS Essential Mask Sheet Pearl - GWP over $50
Bottom Row L to R: TFS White Mud Nose Pack, TFS Clean Face Post Acne Nighttime Spot Eraser
You're probably thinking...those 2 products were $50?! No, they were not LOL I also helped my friend by some things. But of course, I lost it at the bookstore -.-;; And I bought it with my money so not only did I not get the stuff for my friend, but I lost $28 as well. Teaches me a lesson to have the money first before I help people buy things in case things like this happen again. But then...she's my BFFL so...it doesn't really matter LOL This haul was SOO influenced by xppinkx. Even though I can't stand the pain from peel off masks I was still itching to try it. It did get a lot of gunk out, no joke, but not everything. Might have to use this a couple of times a week to achieve desired results if you have a ton of blackheads/whiteheads like me.

Clean & Clear Finishes Pore Perfecting Moisturizer
This was influenced by MakeupbyTiffanyD. I wasn't planning on getting this until I started my Laneige Emulsion because I've heard that its too oily to wear in the morning but I was too impatient :X Will try to write about how it is when I start to use it.

Top Row L to R: Nars Sheer Glow in Punjab, Dr.Brandt Pores No More Vacum Cleaner
Bottom Row L to R: Sephora Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner, Sephora Nails Dissolvant Nail Polish Remover
I think Punjab is a bit too dark for me? Or maybe it oxidized...It looks spot on in Sephora and when I got home it looked a bit browner? (IDK I'm terrible at describing things) That was also by first time getting foundation applied Lol That's how much of a makeup newbie I am :] (This happened yesterday BTW) I also tried the brush cleaner when I got home. It isn't great but it's okay for spot cleaning. Definitely need to deep clean though. And..I got the Dissolvant because of cl2425. And it does work really quickly. However, it left a really weird sticky residue on my hand (idk...will try it again another time)

Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick
Bought from my local beauty supply store. It's the only place where I've seen it. I got this after remember another blogger write about how great it is. And I must say it leaves my lips really soft :] But when I lick my lips and wipe it off, all the chapped skin that was on my lips just kind of clumps together and looks really gross. I think this would work really well if there was no flakey skin. Should definitely try! ^__^ And it's pretty big compared to regular lip balms (i.e. Chapstick and Softlips) so it might be a bit difficult/awkward to apply.

Feeling Slightly Relieved

High school students in the U.S. are probably familiar with all the stress of junior year. One of the major stress contributor is the SAT. A standardized test that us students should try and do very well on if we want to go into a "good" college. To prove we have the ability to take a test under time pressure. I'm not sure if other countries also have to take these kind of tests. But they probably take something similar. (I'm assuming.)

March is one of the less hectic months this year. So I chose to take it this month. Some other classmates that were also taking it this month took a day off yesterday to cram vocabulary (it's a pretty big portion of the test). I wonder how they did...maybe all that extra cramming helped? My short vocab cramming definitely didn't help me much. Whenever I got to one that I really didn't understand, I chose not to answer it. Better than getting 1/4 point deducted for a wrong answer. One of the vocabulary questions had Anna Sui in it :P I just felt like throwing that in. It was amusing when I was reading that problem ^__^ The test itself was kind of like the practice ones that I was given at the prep school that I went to. It was a bit more nerve wrecking since this was the actual test that was going to determine my future (so important!). And like on the practice exams, I wasn't able to finish my essay. I was close but no dice. I just hope with all my might that it doesn't affect my score too much. It was a rather hard topic to discuss about too. Ahh..thinking back the English section (Reading, Writing, Essay) is really going to bring down my score. The math sections on the other hand were kind of easy IMO. But I could be wrong. Better not jinx anything...it was average :]

Now I'm going to be on the edge of my seat waiting for the scores to come out. I don't even know how long it usually takes for the scores to release. If anyone knows, can you tell me? The only good thing is if my score isn't as expected, I can take it 1 more time before college applications in September. But the only downside to that is...the possibility of doing worse than before >__<

Sorry if this post wasn't very interesting. I just felt like it belonged since it's my first time taking the SAT and this blog is filled with my firsts. ^__^ You're very welcomed to share your test taking experiences :]
