My nails are finally strong enough for polish! I felt like I haven't done my nails for yearrrss (it's probably only been half a year lol). I had such a hard time deciding what color to choose. So I ended up using 5 colors instead to make the decision easier. Who ever said we can only use one polish color at a time? :P Would you do the same or was I just a little bit too excited?

Spikes

This bracelet is different from others that I made. Those had a pulling closure whereas this time around I added a toggle clasp. I think I much prefer this because I can easily put the bracelet on with one hand. But it also looks a lot less like a bracelet for a child, right? Or maybe that's just me...

I am very surprised at myself for still being interested in making bracelets after taking a semester long break. In fact, I was constantly itching to visit the bead store even when I was very preoccupied with school work. Maybe this means something? Who knows, but I do know that it has become the hobby that I'm most interested in recently. With my personality, I am probably going to be a little obsessed with this hobby for a while. (Hopefully it isn't one of my "three-minute hotness" interests.) However, since I make them only for myself right now, it is becoming a rather expensive hobby to continue with. I think I need either find a job or to start selling what I make. What do you think?

Love and Hate | Bioderma Crealine H2O Micelle Solution

Err so my plan to get back in a blogging routine went out the window...When did the days go by so quickly? I was so sure I made the last post no more than a week ago! *sigh* Anyways, I'm going to share my opinions on a product that many of you guys were interested in a few hauls ago. Hope this can help someone out!!

------------------------------

One product seemed to have taken the beauty world by storm recently, Bioderma Crealine H2O Micelle Solution. All the raves for it sparked my curiosity to try it for myself . However, Bioderma is not carried officially in the USA and I do try to limit myself from ordering beauty items online. When I saw that a beauty store in Chinatown started to carry this product and for a fair price (similar to that on Amazon), I decided I couldn't wait any longer to give the product a try.
This particular product I believe comes in 3 different sizes but all with the flip-top spout. The one I have is the largest. The packaging does the job but it could be a bit better. I think I'd prefer something other than this flip-top bottle because it is a little difficult to control where and how the liquid pours out. Sometimes it'll leak and drip down the sides. However! I do remember a blogger share that there is new packaging for these cleansing waters. Instead of a flip-top it has a pump (like those at Sephora) which I think would be the best for this type of liquid product.

Product Description (in French I presume):

Ingredients:

I have consistently used Bioderma Crealine as my sole makeup remover for the past few months. I have to admit it was hard for me to decide whether  I liked this product or not. One of the main reasons being, I am a bit very bias towards a particular makeup removal method. I started my makeup and beauty journey being a cleansing oil girl. Cleansing oils are probably the quickest and most heavy duty makeup removers out there. So the switch to a cleansing water was very different for me.

Like with any other product, with the exceptions of maybe HGs, there are positives and negatives to the Bioderma Crealine.

Positives:
✔ very gentle
✔ not messy
✔ pleasant, light fruity scent
✔ doesn't sting or irritate my face or eyes
✔ leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated
✔ can remove some eye makeup (eyeshadows)
✔ doesn't leave a residue (when it dries down feels like when I don't have makeup on)
✔ not many of the common harmful ingredients (ex: parabens)
✔ very simple product & free of extra/unncessary additives (ex: fragrance & color)

Negatives:
✘ needs way too many cottons pads to remove all my makeup
✘ eyeliner and mascara removal takes a bit of effort
✘ rather pricey and difficult to get a hold of in the USA

But the reason why it ended up being a love and hate item on my list is because the pros and cons seem to balance out each other despite one list outnumbering the other.

I always found myself gravitating towards the cleansing water even though I had a bit of cleansing oil left that I was easily accessible. That must mean that I like it enough to keep going back to it right? Perhaps it's because I love how mess free and simple it is. Unlike most cleansing oils, this also does not leave my skin dried out or make it feel tight.
This was after (what I think) a light makeup day.
In terms of number of products it seems like a lot. But it was the amount of each that made it 'light',
Maybe not yet half a squirt of primer, a pea size amount of BB cream,
a bit of concealer, powder, blush, eyeshadow, and pencil eyeliner.
The problem really come from having to use so much more of the cleansing water and cotton rounds in order to get the job done and well. Regardless of whether it's a light or heavy makeup day, I could easily use 3+ cotton rounds (back & front) yet still have traces of yellow residue on the next cotton round. As for removing eye makeup, this only does a mediocre job. It isn't impossible but I would definitely recommend sticking to your favorite eye makeup remover for that task. It just boggles my mind to think of how much product and cotton rounds I could go through if I ended up really loving the Bioderma Crealine for makeup removal. Whenever I use this product to wipe off makeup, I feel like I must put in more effort to double cleanse afterwards with a cleanser.

While in the process of trying out this product, I came across a couple of bloggers/Youtubers who shared their experiences with this cleansing water. Some feelings were so-so, while others were negative. But their methods and suggestions on how they repurposed the product was very interesting.

Lifeandlensofbeauty mentioned that she started to wipe her face with the cleansing water AFTER a round of cleansing oil. For her, she found it was able to pick up more gunk and residue which I found fascinating. I gave it a try and didn't end up with much residue on the cotton pad. Perhaps this would be different depending on the cleansing oil. But it is definitely not a bad idea to take extra precautionary measures when it comes to makeup removal anyways.

Pinkiecharm on youtube mentioned she used this in the morning as a gentle cleanser rather than as a makeup remover. Of the two suggestions I came across, this one worked best for me and made the most sense. After my skin started to break out like crazy in the last half of the year, I have gotten to the point where I sometimes don't do anything to my skin to try to let it balance itself out. The problem is I always get a little annoyed because my skin feels so dirty and a bit oily but I don't want to further irritate it because I don't know what exactly is causing my breakouts. Now, using the cleansing water doesn't particularly help nor prevent my breakouts but it does ease my mind loads in terms of feeling clean.

Oh the troubles of having conflicting feelings. After thinking it over, for myself at least, the Bioderma Crealine H2O Micelle Solution will sadly not be replacing the role of cleansing oils in my makeup removing routine. But I may consider repurchasing this as a morning cleanser and as an precautionary makeup removal step depending on if my breakouts and skin gets any better with this addition to my routine. After finishing this I am also thinking of giving the oily-acne prone skin version (in the green packaging) a try. However, I heard that formulation was definitely more harsh in comparison to this, so I am going to have to think about that a little more.

Here are some sites that sell Bioderma for those who are curious and would like to try them out. They seem to sell for more or less in the $30s range online (sans shipping). I think outside of the USA, the deals are much better though. So if you get the chance to while abroad, you could always grab yourself a bottle then!

Nonetheless, I still wonder why so many people love it as a makeup remover. Is there a trick to using this that I am not getting? How do you use this product? Please share your routine down to the number of swipes and direction of wiping you make! Perhaps I am doing something wrong... For those who have yet to test this product, do you still think you will still give it a go?

Giveaway Package from Makeup Kismet

I'm sorry for being MIA for all of May. School got the better of me and I ended up neglecting the blogging world. But now I'm back! Even though I signed myself up for the summer session, hopefully I will still be able to get back into a blogging routine!
BOTTOM: Stila Daydream Palette, Canmake Cream Cheek No. 6 - Nut Cream, Kiehl's Lip Balm #1
On the last day of my finals, I received an email from Ashley of Makeup Kismet for winning her Stila giveaway. What great news to start my summer with right? I haven't started to use any of these goodies yet but I cannot wait to, especially the Canmake Cream Cheek (even though that isn't suppose to be the star of the giveaway). What can I say? I really like my other Canmake Cream Cheek blush. But I'm a little weary of how this bronzer color has shimmers in it though. Does anyone have any tips for those type of bronzing products?

Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer - Oat

I think I have mentioned this before, but I am not much of a body lotion user. Despite having very dry skin in the colder months, I hate how most lotions take forever to sink into my skin. Standing in the bathroom unclothed in the winter is not a very pleasant experience! Neither is having to put on clothes when lotion is still wet on the body.

When I saw this product in the Sugar 'N Spice VoxBox, I was both skeptically and excited. The way the product is housed reminded me of the spray on sunscreens. The feature I liked of those were how easy it was to just spray on sun protection and not have to rub anything in. However, I just wasn't sure how necessary it is for a lotion to be in a spray on form.

Unlike the name, I don't think this is necessarily a product where you can literally Spray & Go like how you could with a spray on sunscreen. After you apply this lotion onto your skin, you definitely do need to rub it in like you would need to for any other body lotion.

Ingredients:

One of the downsides I saw to the spray can was that it was definitely messy. When I used this moisturizer in my room and sprayed the product directly onto my arms and legs, some of the product would miss my body which ultimately landed on my furniture and floor. But because the product has a slipperiness to it, the product made the floor slippery to a certain degree. I would definitely recommend this to be used inside the bathroom or best inside the shower. I searched around for other reviews and others suggested to spray it into the palm of the hands first and then apply it like a typical lotion. Although this is a way to fix the problem, it kind of defeats the purpose of having it be a spray on lotion doesn't it?

Even though on the bottle it claims to be non-greasy I found it to not be completely true. When compared to other lotions, after the Vaseline lotion sinks into the skin and if I touch my skin it definitely will not feel greasy. However, when I picked up my arms after I had rested them on my desk there will be a greasy mark on the table. Luckily the grease stain does goes away after a while.
How the lotion looks sprayed straight onto my arm
This product is very different from any body lotion I have ever used. Typically the ones I am used to have a thicker and more cream like texture, even if it is dispensed through a pump bottle. The best way to describe the consistency of this body lotion is like that of liquid ice cream (but less sticky). Or if that is a little too weird, it is most similar to that of the milky lotions (such as the ones by Hada Labo or Juju Aquamoist). The product is very liquidy and runny, hence it is also very light. There are good and bad points to this feature. Yes, my skin does absorb the lotion really quickly and (like the bottle says) I can put my clothes on right away. But for my dry skin, this light lotion just isn't enough. Perhaps for those with normal-dry skin this will work better or even for anyone in the warmer weather when your skin isn't craving as much moisture.

There is a slight scent to it but it is nothing too overpowering. I have only used this lotion a few of times since I got it so I cannot really say how long one can will last. But since this is a metal spray bottle, it is kind of difficult to tell when I will run out of product. Of all the different products that have come in the VoxBoxes, this is probably one of the few that I still have not really seen in stores yet. (It could just be the stores in my area though.)

According to Influenster, one 6.5oz canister sells for about $7.99. There are two other variations: Aloe and Cocoa Butter. It seems to be quite expensive though just because it is in a spray form, especially when there is only 6.5oz of product per can. I did a quick browse on a few drugstore's websites and found that the typical pump dispensed lotions fall into the $5.99-$8.99 range while offering 2x the product per bottle.

I'm probably going to save it for the summer months because it doesn't do much for my dry winter skin. As for whether I will repurchase or not really would depend on if there is or isn't a good sale available for it.

What do you think? Would you give this product a try? Have it tried it before? What are your thoughts about it?

Bird Print & Peter Pan Collar

As per usual, I didn't have plans for the Spring Break that passed a few weeks ago. So while at home I took to experiment a little (more like once lol) with my outfits.
ZARA Knit Cable Cardigan | H&M Bird Print Shirt | AE Jeggings
Looking back at it now, this doesn't seem like such a hard ensemble to put together. But coming from someone who's "go-to" wear was always hoodies and jeans, sometimes a simple combo like a sweater and blouse can be easily overlooked.

Before I decided I needed a wardrobe change, my closet only consisted of solid colors. I have always been hesitant to try on clothing with printed designs. Something about it made me associate it with 'old'. But when I saw this bird print shirt in the store, paired with a peter pan collar, I just couldn't help myself. I am glad I ended up trying it on because (as corny as it sounds) it really opened up my mind to start trying on a different variety of clothes. What have I been missing out on my whole life? (Okay that was an exaggeration. Mostly my teen life, that's when I started choosing my own clothes.)
Call It Spring Pumps
Perhaps it is a bit too matchy-matchy with all the beige in the cardigan and shirt. But I kind of like the way these heels looked with the outfit. I didn't wear these outside my house though. I'm still in the process of getting accustomed to wearing heels. For now I have just been wearing them as much as my feet can handle when I'm at home. Any good tips to share for a newbie at heels?

Sephora Chic Week Haul

It was that time of year again last week at Sephora. Sale time!
Or for me it meant one of the few times in the year that I make a purchase at Sephora.

Maybe it's the same for you too, but I always find myself with a huge wishlist. Every year without fail, no matter how busy I am with school work, I find time to sit and cross off as many items as possible to have it fit within my imaginary budget. Ideally the total should be $75 or less. This year I have to shamefully admit that I went over that amount by double!

The difference being that 2 items I bought are sets. Whereas in the past couple years I only splurged on 1 perfume or 1 brush at most along with some other smaller items. The up side to this, I guess, is these are things that I do see myself using regularly and for a long time.
Top: Clarins The "It" Kit and Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head Value Pack
Middle: Cover FX Total Cover Cream Foundation in G20 and Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
Bottom: Sephora PRO Flawless Airbrush No. 56
The night before I managed to narrowed my list down to 3 items.

I have been wanting to try the Clarins "It" Kit ever since Karyi mentioned how great a deal this little box was. A full sized sunscreen + some trial sized items for a little more than how much the sunscreen costs by itself. When I got to the store, I was afraid they wouldn't carry any because this set was released quite a few months ago. Luckily the SA found one for me in the back! Other than the UV Plus Sunscreen, the set also includes the One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, Beauty Flash Balm, Total Eye Concentrate, and the Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. I haven't looked into any of the other products included besides the sunscreen. But from reading the descriptions on the box I can't wait to try everything out.

The one item that has been on my list for months was definitely this Clarisonic 4 pack value set of brush heads. I have been neglecting my Clarisonic for close to a year now because I couldn't bear to shell out the money to buy the replacement brush heads. Sephora offered a few different brush head varieties in the pack. I was a bit overwhelmed. After a chat with lilladyslife, I ended up getting the deep pore version. (To clarify her favorite is the delicate version, which sadly did not come in a 4 pack.) I have been using my Clarisonic nightly for a week now and so far so good. (I just remembered how I completely failed to update everyone my results with the Clarisonic...epic fail! I will try my best to soon though!)

This has become a reoccuring habit of mine to buy an expensive brush when a sale rolls along. But it is totally understandable right? I am always on a lookout for a good foundation brush. Not that the ones I have are bad, but I am a curious person who likes to try things out. To me the Sephora PRO No. 56 is like a cross between the Sephora Mineral Power Brush and the typical synthetic paddle foundation brush. I used it a few times since bringing it home and I am starting to like it.

The Cover FX foundation and Josie Maran Argan Oil were the complete impulse purchases.

I walked around the store for maybe an hour thinking over whether to buy or not to buy the foundation. The SA/MUA I asked to help me color match actually tried to steer me to buy a Stila foundation (but I did not like how the finish looked on me, or it could have been that she applied too heavy a layer). In the end, I have decided to return the foundation because 1) color is not right 2) after taking a second look at my makeup drawers, I know I don't need another base product right now. However, this return doesn't mean I didn't like the product. In fact, it's the opposite. I was really surprised by how skin like the foundation is when I applied it. Perhaps after I plow through some BB Creams and foundations that I currently own I will give it a second try.

The trial sized bottle of Argan Oil found its way into my basket as I was browsing the checkout area. I am anticipating very dry and flaky skin when my Spring allergies kick in. Hopefully this will help soothe and moisturize my skin when that comes comes around. I dabbed a bit of the cream version on my hand to try and it didn't soak in nearly as well as the oil version does. Plus, the oil form is pure argan oil whereas the cream is formulated with a few other ingredients. Nowadays the less ingredients the better/safer right?

Whew! That was a long one. Kudos to anyone who read through that ^__^
Have you tried any of these products before? Any favorites that you can't wait to share?
What goodies did you pick up during the CHIC sale?

Giveaway Package from labellemel

What are the odds of winning a giveaway? ... Slim
Now what are the odds of winning a giveaway hosted by someone more than once? ... Pretty rare I'd say!
This is actually the 2nd time I have won a giveaway from labellemel! The first time, if anyone remembers, was an epilator along with other goodies. This time around I won her "Fashion Kit" package during her Blog Revamp Giveaway.
It included this lovely chain bracelet from J.Crew (my first J.Crew item!!) & a giftcard to THEOUTNET. I haven't found the time to really search the website yet but at a glance, everything seems to be on the pricier side. Will have to choose my item(s) wisely!
Right after I took the previous photo, I went to try on the bracelet. And that's when it kind of fell apart. One of the jump rings used to attach the lobster claw clasp had a bit of an opening so the pieces just slipped right off. Good thing I have pliers at home from DIYing bracelets.
I cinched those jump rings with all my might. Hopefully it won't come loose again! Had I not gotten the itch to DIY and bought some tools, I would have declared this shiny bracelet certified, unfixable.

Although I really love accessories, I'm at a loss of how to pair this chunky style chain bracelet. It hangs loose when I have my arms by my side. So it probably won't be something I would grab for on a day to day basis.
What do you think? What would you wear this with? and When?

belVita Breakfast Biscuits - Cinnamon Brown Sugar

I finally got around to trying something from my Sugar 'N Spice VoxBox. I had been carrying this package of belVita biscuits around with me to school before Spring Break, but it got lost in my bag and I forgot about them. (Note to self: organize my bag.)

The packaging says it's a breakfast biscuit but I can see myself snacking on this any time of day. The Cinnamon Brown Sugar flavor tastes just like a combination of a snicker doodle cookie and an oatmeal cookie. Maybe it's because of the oat bits, it was a little hard to swallow  it if I didn't chew enough. This is also a drier cookie type so I would definitely eat this together with something liquid the next time (whether it be water, juice, or milk). In which case, this could definitely be a sort of filling breakfast option. One thing I don't completely buy is the energy providing claim. It just seems a little far-fetched for a package of crackers. But if these biscuit does provide me with some energy you won't find me complaining. I can always use any extra energy with my night owl habits.

According to their website the only stores that carry these in my area are places like CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid. Which probably explains why I don't remember ever seeing this at my local supermarkets. I think I may try to look for some of the other flavors to try as well. In addition to Cinnamon Brown Sugar they also have Golden Oats, Blueberry, Apple Cinnamon, and Chocolate. It is a bit pricey, $3.69 for a box of 5 packages of 4 biscuits (according to Influenster) but with the CVS coupons and such I can probably get these on sale...hopefully.

Has anyone else tried these before? Or is there any flavor(s) that caught your interest?

Revlon Girly

Aren't I on a blogging roll this week! Here's another post before March ends. (I noticed I would have had only published 4 posts. Not that I'm the very superstitious type or anything but I just like to avoid the number 4. It's the Chinese in me lol)
Girly looks really pretty in the bottle. A soft blue pink with blue, magenta, silver glitters and tons of smaller purple and coral/pink glitter specks floating around.
This is only showing 1 (light) layer. I'm sure if you layered the polish the pink base color will show even more prominently. But do keep in mind the pink base is the sheer jelly type so don't expect too much. For me, it is one of those 'my nails but better' pink colors. If you're going to apply a light layer like I did, it is hard to get an even coat of the glitters. I had to fish around for them a little bit. The main reason why I didn't apply a thicker coat of the polish or put more layers on was just because glitter polishes are so darn hard to remove! Any great tips to share? I'd love to hear how to easily remove a glitter polish.

oo35mm Haul

With some of the birthday money I received, I knew I immediately wanted to replenish my skincare stash. I don't know the reason why but my face has been erupting with pimples, breakouts, blackheads, and anything else that can go wrong with the skin. I thought my teen acne years were suppose to be over?!
oo33mm.com is a site I have been following now and again since they had a Soompi shop. Seeing their new store front in Chinatown was quite a surprise. It's definitely a step up from their last 'hole in a wall' store front. Compared to the the prices of other beauty shops in the neighborhood, their prices are about the same plus or minus a couple dollars. They do offer some unique and quirky things to differentiate themselves. What I love the most about them is that they have a rewards system (unlike most other beauty stores in Chinatown, at least of the ones I have purchased from). Plus, they have more of an online presence compared to the others which (to me) is always a positive point.

I decided to go a more simplistic route with my new skincare routine this time. Not really in terms of the number of products, more so 'natural' and less ingredients wise. Since Hada Labo worked for me last year when I had relatively clear skin, I decided to give it a try again. But being the curious person I am I opted to purchased Juju Aquamoist's whitening line rather than Hada Labo's (which I've already tried and reviewed). My decision may have also been influenced a little by bubzbeauty's previous recommendations for this Vitamin C/whitening line.
I've tried Baby Foot a couple of years ago before prom. However, I didn't use it properly so I didn't want to review it without trying it again. Since my feet are horrendous looking all year round anyways, I thought I would give this a try again. Will definitely update everyone on how this goes!
Yes, I did buy this adorable phone case from this shop. What makes this store different from the others in the area are they don't only sell beauty products. If you browse their site you can see that they also sell a ton of cute items as well. A lot of the goods they sell are they type that we don't really need but you just want to have. I can't really describe it all so just check it out for yourself!
Here are some GWP I received. I think I got the blinc eyeliner because I spent over a certain amount. Of the 3 times I've bought something from this store, I've received a small Avene sample each time. It is great how the SA always tries to pick a sample that will fit my skin problems. I'm saving these samples up for if I ever travel any time soon.
The day I went to do my massive haulage, the store just ran out of this. Luckily it came in stock the day they estimated so I didn't leave without this product for a second time. I have been lusting over this item for the longest time. With so many great reviews about this cleansing water out there I just couldn't resist myself. I haven't tried it yet but I hope it lives up to the hype for me.

& Yes the baggie from the first photo turns into a strawberry :]
But I think you can only get it if you spend over $20 (or was it $30...) and maybe in store only?

Sugar 'N Spice VoxBox

This box of goodies arrived on my doorsteps a couple of weeks ago. Just in time since I probably would have neglected it if it came any earlier or later due to school.

I can't wait to try everything. The only ones I don't think I will be using are the Colgate products. Bestie C is very into teeth whitening right now so I plan to let her try them instead. Plus I already have a full tube of toothpaste opened & Colgate recommends to use all three for best results. We shall see what good news (or bad news) Bestie C will have for us soon! Otherwise, I'm very intrigued by the spray on lotion. I tend to be very picky with body lotions so I hope this will meet my standards.

Have anyone tried any of these products before? Any recommendations?

One Year Older

My birthday was actually 3 weeks ago but school got the best of me and I couldn't find the time to blog about it until now. YAY for spring break! But since I 'celebrated' my lunar birthday yesterday, now should be a fitting time to share a birthday post without it being old news.
As with past birthdays, this was more of a family gathering more than anything. I always just enjoy the company and the crazy amounts of food we order & prepare for the occasion. The part I look forward to the most is always the cake (particularly if I get to choose one hehe).

My dad was sweet enough to drive me to K-Town in the morning to get this Tiramisu Mocha Cake from Paris Baguette because I usually end class pretty late. The joys of being a commuter student still living with her parents! Lucky enough, that day my last class was actually cancelled. It really couldn't have been a better day, well...if my besties were able to celebrate with me that would have been the BEST.

Compare to the Blueberry Chiffon cake I had last year, I much prefer that one than this Tiramisu Mocha cake. Not that this was bad but because of the layered cake style, it a little felt too crumbly. Plus the macarons were a nice visual touch but they are not the typical "ERRMAHGAAHDD these are awesome" macarons either. Knowing me I'll probably try a different cake next year just because all their cakes look great.

Even though the three of us in our 'clique' are terrible at gifting, Bestie C never fails to still give the rest of us gifts on our birthdays. This year was not an exception. As you can see there is a purple theme! Also, two of the items were things that I mentioned I wanted to get recently. (If you're reading this...THANK YOU!! :D)

I was just wondering, does anyone know how to use the Wen Lavender Replenishing Treatment Mist? I was browsing through gossmakeupartist's reviews recently and he said that lavender oil isn't a good ingredient to use on the face. Does anyone know more about this?

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Eyeliner Trio - Nude Eyes

Perhaps this is HG?

I tried a bunch of eyeliners that many on the blogging and Youtube community raved about. Sadly none really gave me the same great results that everyone else had. I got this trio on a whim a LONG time ago and actually forgot about them! At the time and for a period after, I did not bother with eye makeup of any sort. But after realizing how much I had been neglecting my eye makeup collection and finally paid some attention to these guys, I found that I was completely missing out on a good product the whole time.

This set that I got is from a couple of years ago. I know that Physician's Formula recently just promoted the Nude Eyes line, but I am not sure if these eyeliner colors are the still the same or not. Comparing from the photo on their website it looks to be about the same. Don't fret if you're looking for something more smokey or a variety of colors. Although it isn't much they do offer gray, blue, purple, and green. The common themes with these Physician's Formula eyeliners seem to be they target eye colors & there is a black liner in all the trios.

Ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane. Trimethylsiloxysilicate. Polyethylene. Ozokerite. Lauroyl Lysine. Synthetic Beeswax. Octyldodecanol. Disteardimonium Hectorite. Propylene Carbonate. Lecithin. Ascorbyl Palmitate. Citric Acid. Tocopherol. May Contain: Iron Oxides. Titanium Dioxide. Mica. Aluminum Powder. Bismuth Oxychloride. Black 2. Blue 1 Lake. Carmine. Chromium Hydroxide Green. Chromium Oxide Greens. Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide. Ferric Ferrocyanide. Manganese Violet. Silica. Tin Oxide. Ultramarines. Yellow 5 Lake.

The ingredients list is relatively short. Most of these aren't ones that I understand. Some that I remember reading/hearing are Bismuth Oxychloride, Mica, and Silica. If anyone is allergic to these, be careful! As far as fragrance and parabens go, this product is free of them (as the company claims).

Packaging:

I absolutely love that this is a retractable eyeliner. I wouldn't mind sharpening a pencil liner if it worked well for me. But having something that I don't need to sharpen at all is great! This product actually comes with a built in sharpener that I rarely use. I don't go for a defined eyeliner look anyway so a short stubby eyeliner is fine by me! The downside to having a retractable liner is the plastic packaging. It isn't the most eco-friendly but there doesn't seem to be a way around it while still being retractable.

Black
Pewter
Champagne
Champagne (top row), Pewter (middle row), Black (bottom row)
left column: Swatched 2-3 times, about how I would apply on my eye normally
middle column: Swatched heavily to show the colors

There is sparklies/glitter in all 3 eyeliner colors in this trio. I actually don't mind the glitter because it isn't too apparent. It shows more in Pewter and Champagne than in Black. I tend to reach for Pewter most often. I barely even use Champagne because it doesn't show up well when I apply it on my upper lashes. It's probably best to use this on the lower lash/water line. (That is something I have yet to do...baby steps!)

Smudging, transferring, panda eyes, flaking...you name it, that's how the other eyeliners (pencil, gel, & liquid) worked for me! I thought it was just that my eyes were too watery for eyeliner altogether. But come to find it was just the formula of a product that made the world's difference!

The formula of these is drier than other eyeliners I have tried. I think it is also waxier? After seeing the ingredients list I think this may be because of the synthetic beeswax in it. I think this is the main reason why I didn't experience smudging with this. I know...But creamy eyeliners are the best! There's no tugging when you apply it. The only problem for me is, I don't think creamy eyeliners & my eye shape works well. Usually, with the others, they smudge from the upper to lower lashes within the hour of applying. I don't usually set my eyeliner. Thinking back, I assume that would have helped a lot. But...FUSS FREE IS KEY! Despite the drier product, these eyeliners were actually not that difficult to apply. It kind of warms up a bit and glides pretty smoothly onto my lids.

After rubbing a bit with some cleansing oil and rinsing, there is still some eyeliner stubbornly stuck on there. If I remember correctly, that actually stayed on my arms for another day or two. Why I'm not sure myself. I would think a shower should have cleaned it off but apparently, I didn't scrub enough that day. I think this is sufficient enough to show how well it could last on my eyes. Again, I don't set the product and I can easily wear this pretty much all day with only some fading. If I had really watery eyes or blinked more than what I normally do (which is already quite a lot) then there may sometimes be some transferring of it onto my lower lash line.

My biggest gripe is this product ONLY comes in a set of three. Even with the other sets, I think I would only regularly use one (two depending on the set) of the three colors at most. If I wanted all the other colors, I would end up with way too many black colored eyeliners (even with daily usage one of these can last a while). Other than that, I think Physician's Formula did something very right with these liners. This is definitely a product I would repurchase. Anytime soon...I'm not too sure yet because I still have a lot of the product left in one eyeliner x3! Perhaps if there was a very good sale/promotion happening?
